Hello Loves! Spring has sprung, but sis, some days it’s still cold outside. And contrary to Cardi B’s beliefs, I do get cold. So as we start to head into the warm weather, I thought I’d give you guys an work appropriate outfit post that is somewhat weather appropriate depending on the hour of the day.
Typically, I’m awake for work around 5:15/5:30am to prepare for my 45 minute commute to work, arriving at the office at approximately 6:30am. At that ungodly time of the day, it’s still relatively dark and definitely cold. By the time I am heading home for the day, the sun is typically around it’s peak and I’m in a full blown sweat.
My company’s attire typically calls for business casual, but you can make this more business professional by throwing a blazer on. This outfit features (1) a pair of blue dress pants from Express which fit amazingly (and the color just screams Spring), (2) a sweaterish 1/3 sleeve top with a mock neck from Zara, and (3) an AMAZING jacket from Zara that I had my eye on for some time. The photos feature flats discussed here and heels discussed here.
This outfit is great as the weather is still trying to figure itself out. The jacket is perfect for the transition because it’s more like a sweater material and is not heavy to carry around if you take it off later in the day.
I hope you enjoyed this post! What are your go to outfits for the winter-spring transition period?
Thanks so much for reading! See you next time.
